Default Hello from Dallas

I've been a learker for a while but recently decided to join. I have a 2002 Jaguar X-Type. I live just north of Dallas in Denton, Texas but I'm on the road a lot. I run, along with a partner, a small nuclear engineering consulting company. I have belonged to many forums over the years but this one seems to be one of the best. The members are both friendly and helpful. I don't have much else to say except "see you arround".

I'm so old I don't even know what a nuclear engineer is or who hires them. So anything you contribute to this Forum will be a revealation to me. Welcome to a world of remarkably knowledgeable, helpful people.

Wow! We are close neighbors. We'll have to meet up sometime for lunch.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcom. For those who asked what a nuclear engineer does, here goes: If you consider the Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) and Reactor Operator (RO) to be like the Pilot and Co-Pilot, the Reactor Engineer (my speciality within the deciplian of Nuclear Engineering) is like the navigator. We make certian they don't fly into any mountians. I,m in my 29th year now and do not often pull duty in the control room any more. However, I do provide oversight for younger reactor engineers and perform analyses on new, advanced core designs. I also teach a class on Reactor Engineering to show new nuclear engineer graduates how to apply everything they just learned.

I just bought a 2002 X-Type and am having a few things done to it by the Jaguar dealer and will then be installing a new Alpine INA-900W system with navagation, bluetooth and satellite radio. I'll post some photos when it all done. Thanks for the warm welcome and I'll be talking to all y'all.
