Hi everyone,
I am new to this Forum. Just over 2 years ago I bought a 2003 Jaguar XJ8 Sport with a 4.0 that was locked up or so I thought. When I bought the car I had plans to swap out the engine and trans with GM gear as the stock drivetrain was damaged. Upon removing the stock drive train I found that when I split the engine and transmission apart the engine began to turn freely. By that time I had already purchased a 2005 5.3 engine from a Tahoe. I ended up selling the engine as a core (just incase it was still damaged) and as it turns out it was fine and the guy who bought it is still using it in his XJK. In the last year I have gotten very serious about the project and now have the car running with a 4l80E transmission and the X300 axle with a bunch of mods to the axle including a 8.9" ring gear swap (3.21 GR).. I have also added a 76mm turbonetics Ball bearing unit and a new fuel system with twin 450 fuel pumps and 142 lb injectors. I hope that I am not upsetting anyone by having an engine swapped car but it is the car that i have wanted for the last 8 years. The car also has Corvette brakes and wheels which I added instead of doing the brembo kit because it was less money. I have a YouTube channel that I have uploaded some videos of the car on. If anyone is interested I will leave a link to it. Thank you for allowing me to join fellow Jaguar enthusiasts!

Hello,
Congratulations on all your successful hard work!
While there are some Purists among us, most of us feel it's YOUR car, and as such you have the Right to do to it what YOU want to do.
(My own car was converted to Chevy 350 over 30 years ago and I wouldn't have it any other way.)
It sounds like you have the Perfect Jaguar for YOU.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forums LSXJ8,
Good to have you with us. You have had a busy year!
2003 was a model changeover year. Is your Jaguar one of the last of the steel bodied X308's or one of the first of the aluminium bodied X350's?

Signature added! Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. Yes, a busy year indeed. The car is a steel body X308 that had a 4.0 V8 originally.
Here is some videos of mods that I have performed to the car so far if anyone is interested. I have put a lot of work into this.-
Overview ramble of everything that I have done skip to 17 minutes for all of the build pictures.
Fuel system upgrades
IKEY install with push button start
Rear axle build
Rear axle install
