Hello from the Dysfunctional City (DC), 2004 VDP in Da House!
By way of into, my forum name is whaleman and greetings from the DC Area (dysfunction not due to residents). I've wanted a Jaguar since a teenager when a neglected late '60s-early '70s XKE V12 caught my attention in a neighboring apartment building. I received enough courage one day to ask how much for the abandoned-looking Jaguar and I was told $1,200. To me at the time, might as well have been $120,000 which is a moderate estimate as to what the car would be worth today in that condition. It was complete, but the red paints was faded. Fast forward a few decades and I score this 2004 VDP in tip-top condition and I look forward to driving it everyday even almost after two months into it. This is the fourth Jaguar I considered buying and am glad I did, the XKE being the first.
Good to have you with us. That looks to be a very well cared for example.
I can see you've already found your way to the X350 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Welcome. We're new too and lived in Alexandria in late '60s, early '70 but had to go to Florida to avoid, as you say, "dysfunction" there. We too, love the VDP.. Classic Art..ENJOY ! BnC
