Welcome to the forum John,

I saw your post in the XJS forum and have replied there. I will be truly amazed if you have an XJS Hearse and even more so if it is a Daimler variant.

We need to be certain of the model before anyone can start giving relevant advice on how to crack it open.

Definitely NOT based on an XJS which is a two door coupe.

From 1996 it's a six cylinder X300 but it has the later front bumper from the V8 X308.

Welcome.

As Graham has said.

Is it a 6 cylinder, a V8, or even a V12?????. That will be the key to opening Pandora's box.
