Default Hello Everyone

I am embarking on the purcahse of my first Jag. I have owned numerous other fun cars and have some mechanical skills. I have always wanted an XK8 and purchased one today: 1998 XK8 Coupe, BRG with tan interior, has been well maintained up to 180000km.

Congratulations on your First Jaguar!
With that kind of mileage, and that age, you'll have a Lot of fun bonding with your car! You can ask me how I know that.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Thanks to everyone for all the warm wishes, I definitely have some learning to do about this car... I have ABS codes and traction control codes at the moment. She runs rough when cold but smooths out nicely when warm. This car was sitting for a couple years. She needs everything from an oil change to new paint..... my wife isn't convinced this was a good idea... Can anyone recommend a good scanner/ code reader for these cars?
