Default Hello everyone.

My name is Liz and my husband always wanted a Jag. We have a 2003 S type. He rarely uses it. Recently we had a light go on and was told it was a vacuum leak. I searched online and found out it may be the gas cap. I put on a new gas cap and the light went out. Great. Well it has been a long time but the light is back on. I am not sure if it is because the car is sitting for to long. Well, the car runs great - idiot light or not but I don't want to hurt the car. Any info is appreciated. It is a fantastic car to cruise in - not bad on gas, great on the highway. I love it! Just wish the light would go off.

Welcome to the forum Liz,

Jaguars thrive on regular use.

Follow Norri's link to the S-Type tech section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham
