Default Hello Everyone! New Prospective Owner!

I'm new here but a veteran of the online forum thing for a long time thanks to my obsession with audio and muscle cars. I also own a 1969 Road Runner convertible I've had going on 10 years now (getting close to selling time!).

I recently totaled my 2004 LS430 which I loved but always thought had bland styling. I am looking at 2008 XJ models or XK hardtops. I have done some research and it seems overall reliability is good.

Now I know that an uninitiated person on the Lexus forum would think the LS was a heap the way everyone complained about little niggles, but I think even on a Jaguar forum we can all admit those cars are bulletproof.

As an enthusiast, I can put up with some "character" but since this is my daily driver we are talking about, I would like to hear honest opinions about the 2007/2008 XJ sedans and what I should look out for.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum mannye,

Sorry to hear about the LS430 - hope no one was injured.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xj-x350-x358-xj6-xj8-xjr-28/ to the X350 section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

You may also like to visit the US Lower Atlantic Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/lower-atlantic-nc-sc-fl-ga-66/ to find other members in this country.

Enjoy the search for an XJ and the forum.

Thanks for the links! I try to make extensive use of the search function but it's always nice to get a starting point when one has no clue!

No one was hurt in the crash! Looked real nasty though. Good news is I might get a Jag!

Not from us, you can't.

It's best to ask that question in the https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xj-x350-x358-xj6-xj8-xjr-28/ X350 section.

There's often big discussions on extended warranty in several tech sections. Members with the same model will advise if an 08 can be covered and if it's worth paying.
