Hello: Finally joined (after getting an XKR)
I recently crowned a five-month journey to get hold of an XKR convertible. The process started well before COVID19 lockdown while looking for a totally different make. I just fell in love with the XKR when I saw it in a showroom for the first time. After a long and sometimes frustrating process (backed down from a "salvage-titled" rebuilt car crashed in 2005; got too late to a second one who had just been sold) I finally found a very nice 2006 XKR-S.
All you in this forum played a very important role in my being able to successfully cross the finish line. I came here frequently to find answers to technical questions that emerged during the research for a good car. I am grateful for that.
I am not into mechanics or technology at all but I may probably contribute by sharing about the multiple resources I found during my search.
I will enjoy the XKR as much as I can, and I will do it with the peace of mind that brings knowing I can come back here and rely on your advise.
So thank you again!
