Hello From Frozen Ohio
New to the forum and wanted to say hi. Picked up a 2005 S Type 3.0 as a certified used car from the local Jag dealer. So far, it's been quirky, but basically trouble free. Have to say, so many years forced to drive a front driver, it feels great to be driving a real rear drive car again.....

Thanks for the 'Warm' welcome. Much needed today.......
Oh just one note.... My Jag ran fine all the way to and from work in this but my satelite TV went out and the tech told me that it was too cold for the reciever part of the dish, and they would have to replace it in a week.....[:@]
And there are people that say Jags have a bad rep.???????

RE: Hello From Frozen Ohio
Hi Josworth,
I also just picked up a certified 2005 S-Type. Marvelous car and really reasonable price wise. This is my third Jaguar. Previous Jags have been the XJ series but this time I wanted something a little smaller and sportier. My wife commented it is stiffer than my last XJ6, but I had to remind her this is by design.
My strategy is to pick up a reasonably used one about 4-7 years old and drive it until it is a 2. This is normally around 130K miles or so. As used cars go Jags are great for the money. I may try something really slick by telling my wife she can have this one and then I'll pick up a 2004 or so X-Type or possibly a 2001-2002 S-Type for a song.

RE: Hello From Frozen Ohio
Thanks everyone for all the replies. I hope I can start to contribute to this forum at least a bit of what I've learned. I have to say that I was a little skeptical about getting a Jag. The certified warranty eased my mind a bit. The way it feels driving the 30+ miles to work each day fixed the rest. People questioned the wisdom of replacing my 48k mile Accord Coupe with this car. It's like this. I love cars, and the Accord is one of the best driving appliance cars out there but they are still appliance cars deep down. There isa passion that you feel in a Jag. It will be interesting to see how this car holds up over the next 3 years with daily use. My obsession with maintenance should keep her looking and driving great.... Then it'll be time to trade into an XF...
