2nd welcome.

I suggest the XJ6/XJR (X300) Tech Section will have the answer/s.

ECM failure is very low in the big plot.

I suspect the fuel pump/s due to running dry on fuel, they do not like that at all.

Goos luck.

Welcome to the forums Jason,

(I've merged your two separate Intro threads.)

I agree with Grant. Running out of fuel and then flattening the battery is most unlikely to affect the ECM. It IS extremely likely to destroy the fuel pump.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xj-xj6-xjr6-x300-26/ to the X300 forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the Canada Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/canada-73/ to find other members in your region.

Good luck and enjoy the forums.

Graham
