Default Hello from Indiana! New to me 04' XJR

I hope you are all having a great weekend.
My name is Justin, I have been lurking here for the past couple of weeks checking out potential problems with the X350, in the process I realized this is not your typical forum (people asking unrealistic things and such) it also seems people here tend to be helpful. The only other forum I have found to be this way is the forum I've been on for my Oldsmobile Bravada, so that was a relief.

I will keep this as short as I can, I will be picking up my first Jaguar on Monday morning... A Platinum Silver 2004 XJR , its not in the best shape but for the price I will not complain about having to do a little bit of work. Other than the headliner sagging in the rear and the liner on the sunroof, and a slight thud when you hit bump coming from the front end, and the Leaper and shift knob are missing, other than that it runs great.

I do plan on eventually revamping the audio system (crazy to think I found a car with a half decent sounding audio system from the factory).

Either way, I look forward to being part of this community and hope someday I may be able to contribute information back to it like it has already given me.

Welcome to the forum Justin,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Of all the faults I've read about on the forum, a missing shift knob has to be unique!

I can see you've already found your way to the X350 tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.

Thank you guys. I will say I was very happy to see that Jaguar owners here (or at least some) work on their own cars. I suppose its survival, you pay to play or quit tossing money at the shops and get a little dirty. I am very excited to be getting this car, the sad part is I feel I am most excited about the quality of the interior (especially compared to the Domestic and Japanese cars I've owned) .

Any way, thank you for the warm welcomes. Once I get the car I will post pics dirty or not, but I hear the weather should be fairly nice here this week so I will have to spend part of a day detailing it.
