Default Hello from Ireland! (x300)

Hi all,

Have just purchased my first Jag. Just bought it yesterday. Its a 1997 XJ6 3.2 Executive. I won't be getting it for a week or so because it will be doing a vehicle test. So all I can do for the moment is read up on it as much as I can!!

Cheers,

s.

Looks like a lot of great support here. Just waiting on my garage to NCT the car then I can say goodbye to my 1.4 Megane and drive the car I was always meant to drive.

Welcome Swampy,

I'm sure you'll find the jag a big improvement on the Megane.

Default Hello again swampy!

Hi swampy, we chatted recently on boards.ie when you were planning your purchase. I just put up a post here looking for other Irish members and here you are! We must form a mini meet at some time and of course any other Irish members are most welcome. I think we need an owners club for these slightly older, "in between" cars, as the present Jag owners club here in Ireland seems to cater for newish, top of the range models or older vintage/classics.

You might remember that my car is a sister of yours, pretty much identical, though maybe not quite as clean, suffering as she is from the dreaded top coat peel. That will be sorted in the summer though.

I have include a pic of my interior when I bought the car, and it hadn't even been cleaned at that stage.

I love it! Welcome and enjoy.
