Talking Hello from me and my mutant XJ V8 engine MX5

Hello all,

I'll confess upfront, my car isnt strictly a Jag, it's an MX5 with a Jag 3.2 V8 from an XJ sport...

I'm hoping you'll welcome me in anyway as I have few questions relating to the Jag drivetrain (i'll put them in the relevant bit of the forum)

here's a pic

mad I know...

Welcome to the forum teambugsplat,

Good to have you with us.

Of course you are welcome it's still got the heart of the Jag!
Enjoy the forum.

If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

Welcome to the forum teambugsplat,

We've got members who have Jaguars with transplant engines or transmissions and some with Jaguar engines in other vehicles. Your'e not alone!

I must advise you I think you could have just the slightest of problems getting that bonnet through an MoT.

Graham

Thanks for all the replies and the warm welcomes!

The major fitting work is starting this month but is being done as a project by an engineering college so will take a bit of time to complete, hoping to get it back in the winter. It's full debut will be the Scumrun rally 2013 in May where it will be the official camera car again.

As I get updates I'll be sure to post them along with any photos.
