Smile Hello from Montgomery, AL (1997 XJ6L)

Just a quick note of introduction. I found this site today while trying to troubleshoot a "no crank, no start condition" on my X300, which developed while simply sitting in the driveway for a few weeks. I've owned the car for 7 years and have had almost no problems and I'm happy to report that after reading many posts, I was able to resolve the problem. I could tell the gearshift interlock was not ingaging, but the instrument panel was normal and I had brake lights. After checking all fuses and doing a hard reset, I simply gave the gearshifter a minor slap and that "fixed" the problem.

While I do most of my own work, if anyone in the Montgomery area can recommend a good Jaguar shop, I would appreciate the lead. Thanks.

Greetings from TX Mr. Greek! I'm nowhere near AL, so can't give any recommendations in the way of an indy shop, but check out the regional section of the forum, thats usually where those type of threads are located.

Enjoy your stay, and glad you had a good experience on your first visit to the forums. We do hope you stick around, we're still rather small in comparison to other car forums, so those numbers give the opportunity for our members to really bond and appreciate the common interests these cars reveal in ourselves.

Welcome Greek. Hopefully someone can pair you up with a good independent shop. If you find yourself in N. TX, Motorcarman = GoTo Man!
