Hello from the Nature Coast of West Florida
Been in this forum for almost 2 years and have never posted yet. So I updated my sign up and decided now that I am a little more familiar with my 05 XK8 I feel I can ask and or offer more intelligent information.
Having been into older (1979) Alfa Romeo Spider restoration (Spica Injected) I was often part of their site. Having sold it 2yrs ago, Last year my wife asked me when was I ever going to buy the car I always wanted. So for my 70th birthday, I had been looking for 2 yrs and settled on 2005 as my preferred MY. I purchased the perfect Jaguar XK8 convertible. 35,000 miles and joyful perfection from a specialty dealer in St. Pete Fl. I paid way too much for it and I don't care. Now after a year with it I would do it all over if I had to. Truly I wanted one of these cars since I first laid eyes on them. I had so many pictures of the old XKE's that when this model came out, I was in auto lust.
I enjoy all the information on this forum and hope to contribute as well as continue to learn.
(used to restore old mercury outboards also, and enjoy revolver target shooting at 100 yards w/scope of course) These ol' eyes could never see that far otherwise.
Best to all,
Robert Gifford (revrob)
