Hi everyone, my name is Josh. I recently purchased a 2004 X-type as my first foray into British automobiles, if you don't count my Triumph motorcycle.

You don't see these cars in ND very often, so I was surprised when I found one in fair shape locally, so I picked it up right away. It is in decent shape on the outside, it has a few scratches and dings. The interior is a little worn, it got baked in the Texas heat. Mechanically it needs a little work, mainly alignment, which I could tell as I walked up to it.

I see I can't edit my post, but I forgot to apologize for the bad cell phone picture. Also, the car is filthy, I live in the country and it has been raining for days. Black cars just don't stay clean with gravel roads.

I can see you've found your way to the X-Type tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
