Hello from the Netherlands

Hello everyone,
I'm Han, 45 years of age joining from the Netherlands.
I've bought an 2004 S-type to replace my trusty 2006 Audi A4 TDI.
The A4 has reliably stood by me for 8 years adding 200k kms to a total of 385K kms without any real issues.
Life became a bit dull so I thought I'd replace it with a Jaguar...... (well that and fact that the A4 needed some expensive repairs plus driving the diesel in this part of the world wasn't very economic anymore)
So I now am the proud owner of a beautiful green collored 2,5 V S-type Executive edition with just over 100K kms on the clock.
It came by as an opportunity as my neighbor and friend offered it to me.
Myself I am a amateur car mechanic (with emphasis on amateur) with loads of experience on the classic Mini and also own a MGF convertible.
Thus far the S-type has been a much more entertaining company then the A4 has been in 8 years time.![Icon Banana](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_banana.gif)
I have replaces the whining diff, replaced the DCCV and repaired the CCM including extra fuse.
Also added bluetooth and voice using this forum.
Still to be done ones the weather becomes a bit warmer is de-rusting the rear subframe and giving the whole underside of the car a rust-prevention treatment.
I have downloaded a list of fault codes so will be searching this wonderful and possibly picking your brains for answers.
Thanks for now and happy motoring!
Ciao, Han

Welcome to the forums Han,
Good to have you with us.
I can see you've already found your way to the S-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the Europe Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/europe-42/ to find other members in your region.
Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.
Enjoy the forums.
Graham
