Default Hello from new Jaguar owner - Central TX

Hello all,

Back in May, I became the 3rd owner of an Emerald Fire Metallic 2008 XJ. It started out as a lease buyout, and the first owner mostly kept it garaged for 8 years until selling it to a friend of my wife's family. The second owner put few miles on the car, and I bought it with only 29k on the odometer. The car is in beautiful condition inside and out, and I've loved driving it.

Looking forward to contributing to the forum and learning how to keep the XJ in pristine condition!

Same here, love how the color goes from deep green to almost blue-ish depending on the lighting. I've been asked more than a couple times if it's British racing green - started just telling them "yes!" to save the explanation, haha.

I remember seeing an Emerald Fire X350 in the showroom when it was were introduced. A beautiful and rare colour. My XK is the current British Racing Green and this also appears to vary from bright green to almost black depending on the lighting.

Welcome, from south-western Ontario.

Your car is STUNNING!! Imagine seeing that in traffic in a few years when every other vehicle is an SUV. Wow.
