Default Hello/New Member

Good Morning Y’all,
I am new to the forum. I take delivery of a 2017 Jaguar XE Premium today. I am a 5th grade math and science teacher and this is my very first Jaguar. The car has 32,000 miles and appears to be in great condition. I have so many questions, but my most important questions are the following:
How often should I have the oil changed?
What type of motor oil should be used?
How would I know if a mechanic is certified to work on a Jaguar?

Thank you so much for your help and guidance.

Welcome to the Forums.

The XE Tech Section will have the answers in the "stickies" at the top of that section.

I over service, so if the book claims 7500kms, I do it at 5000kms Oil is CHEAP, engines are NOT.
Oil as per the handbook for your area.
No idea, I do all my own work. NO ONE touches my Jags.

Welcome to the forums fawilson38,

Good to have you with us.

Scheduled service interval is every 15K Miles OR 12 Months - whichever comes soonest. A mechanic has to be "certified" to work on Jaguars. I recommend you find one who is "qualified".

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xe-x760-85/ to the X760 forum for help, advice and information.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.
