Hello from new member
I purchased a 2004 X-Type a couple of months ago. I think it's an awesome car. 2.5 with 5 speed manual. Jaguar Green. I painted the wheels myself. I think they look better on picture than up close, but they give the car a different look.
I enjoy winter and planned to park car for the season. Just can't not drive it. Lot's of fun to drive and better gas mileage than my old van. I'm not a mechanic. I have some ability and really appreciate all the help I have found in this forum. So thank you to everyone.

welcome to the site, good to have you here with us and thanks for a nice intro with good info!
Gotta drive the X thru the winter....The AWD makes it an awesome ride in the white stuff!!
Please check out the relevant section for your ride ( X type ) and you will find good info there, especially in the FAQ quick link thread.
The off topic section can be fun and there's always the regional section so you can see who is around!
I've manually upgraded you to full forum access so you can better view all the sites features....

Wecome to the forum from one Wisconsinite to the next. Like you, I bought my car thinking I'd need to park it for the season. Unlike you, I have; although, the X-type must be better in the snow!? I'm not much of a mechanic either, but have found this on-line support to be more than useful in resolving problems as they arise. It's also good moral support when needed. Cheers! Scott

Thank you
Thank you to all for the Hello. While I am new to Jags, I have worked on vehicles most of my life. I am a quick learner and with some luck, perhaps I can be of help to others someday. In the meantime, I will keep reading as many post as I can. I can't believe the amount of great information available on this forum. It is greatly appreciated.
