Hi All.
Quick intro. I'm a 61 year old Freelance Opportunist. I run my own business in Wellington, New Zealand. I've just bought my first Jag - a 2006 XK Coupe in black with black interior. Bought it off an importer in Lower Hutt just before Christmas 2019 and picked it up in early January 2020. I am not new to the soaring highs and crushing lows of running a classic car, but I haven't indulged in any kind of classic since I was about 30.
Now I have the time, the money and the garage space (thanks to my tremendously generous lady!).
I stumbled on Jaguar Forums while searching for tech advice on my car, and I'm hugely impressed with the breadth and scope of the information in these forums. Results from this weekend's search of the Forums has taught me the following things about my car:
1. How to replace the glove box lock barrel and button mechanism
2. The glove box door damper is broken - didn't even know I had one!
3. What that buzzing sound coming from behind the dash is when I switch the car off
I'd say that's a bloody good start.
Looking forward to keeping my car running (because I LOVE driving it) and meeting other Jag owners in NZ, particularly Wellington.

Welcome to the forums Richard,
I've removed the email address from your post. Not required for forum posting and no need to give the spammers a helping hand.
As you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR forum, there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the New Zealand Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/new-zealand-97/ to find other members in your region.
I've added vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. If you want to change these, go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
Enjoy the forums.
Graham
