Default Hello from Norwalk CA USA fellow Jag Lovers

I currently own 2 Jags, a S-III XJ6 and a S-II XJ6C. S-III I have owned since 1997. It still has the good running 4.2 with 127,186 miles, it had 82,346 miles when I purchased it. The coupe I bought from the junkyard with a salvage title in Y2K (2000) for those not familiar. I always wanted an XJ12C or XJ6C. In 2000 a friend informed me he had located a coupe in a junkyard where you take your tools to remove the parts you want. The coupe was complete minus the radiator, engine and transmission. Needless to say I dashed out to the junkyard and was able to buy the car The saving it from the junk yard crusher it was scheduled to be crushed the next day. I am very fortunate I got there when I did and prevent it being crushed and recycled for scrap metal. I got it for an unbelievable $500.

Welcome to the forums jagangel,

What a find. The XJC was the one I really wanted when they were current but I had to stick with the four door models and never did get a Coupe.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...s-i-ii-iii-16/ to the XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-western-38/ to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Well done you! These coupes seem to be coming out of the woodwork the past couple years. Good job, and Congratulations saving this one.
I'll look for you over in our Xj6 Series section where Graham has directed you.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
