First time Jag owner here from Phoenix, AZ! Just got my first X300 that had been sitting out in the desert - only has 105k on it - it's a white 1995 XJ6 Vanden Plas. There is a bit of work that needs to be done on it. I had the car completely detailed and it is looking pretty good considering. Looking forward to putting everything back together. I will post some pics soon.
Going to keep a running list of needs on the car here so I can keep track of them![Smile](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Oil Change
Transmission service
New spark plugs - Purchased original champion copper plugs, haven't put them in
LH fog out
Arm rest cup holder broken
Gas lid unlock broken
Radio antenna motor inoperable
Passenger inside door release inoperable
Auto trunk release inoperable
ABS warning light lit
SRS warning light lit
Headliner sagging over back seat
Glove box locked and won't unlock
Sun roof inoperable
Oil leak (don't know where this is coming from yet)
Coolant leak at thermostat housing
Get rid of cigarette and weed smell inside!!!!!!!!!!! (I need some suggestions on this one - the full detail just didn't do it)
Remote key fog inoperable (tried programming this 100 times, 100 ways, still no luck)
(2) busted center caps (this is Big O's fault - they broke them and are now replacing them
)
Alignment - can't do this until the lower control arms & bushing are replaced - at least this is what Big O said.
Cruise control inoperable - will need to help with this one. Don't even know where to start
Tire rotate and balance - DONE
Air filter - DONE
Thanks guys - looking forward to all the good times!!!

Welcome to the forum heuster,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
Your checklist looks to cover most of the items that are regularly needed on an X300. I can see you've already found your way to the X300 tech section so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
You can also visit the US Southwest Region forum by following this link Southwest US - AZ TX NM OK - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.

Welcome Heuster! I'm in Mesa.
That's a good list, but a lot of it can be done with little cost. All it takes is a capable owner who cares. I'm afraid so many of these cars are left to fall into disrepair until one of us rescues them like a stray from a shelter! With a little love they can be restored to most of their past glory and are a pleasure to own. Most of the time!
There is much to be learned but much fine, friendly and wise advice to be had here, also at no cost! See you around the forums.
