Hello from sunny socal
Glad I found this site, already a wealth of information.
I'm an English car/motorcycle fan, having several Triumph bikes in the 60s.
Purchased a stunning 66 xke 4.2 coupe white/red leather back, in 1972.Prior to that had a nice 59 3.4 sedan.I made a bad decision to trade the xke for a new 74 camaro....keep kicking myself. They gave me 800.00 for the xke! I was young and dumb. After numerous street rods I got back into bikes,2007 bonneville t100, now a 2011 bonneville speedmaster.
Now facing 70 I wan't to explore either the xk or xkr. Maybe like the bikes the reliability has improved.I'm hoping to find something towards the end of the year, preferably 6-7yrs old. Sorry fr the long intro.Bob

Welcome Robert,
Another So Cal double XKR owner here, one X100 and one X150. They are both terrifically beautiful cars, the X100, probably a bit more like your XKE in its sensual looks, but the X150, a vastly improved automobile. The 5.0L (2010+) is frighteningly and exhilaratingly quick, tight as a drum and solid as a rock, with a more muscular presence. It is a pleasure to own and drive. But you will have to get used to driving a car without any gauges and with no dipstick, somewhat unnerving especially if you make an occasional trip to the track.
Good luck with your search.
Ted
