Default Hello from Wisconsin

Long time lurker, been repairing my buddy's 3 Jaguars for some time, this forum has saved my bacon more than once!

Finally bought my own Jag, found a 1998 XJ8 for a good price, so went with it. Has 160,000 miles, still looks / runs great. Of course, already ordered the upper tensioner kit from ebay, should be here next week. Going to do the zip tie method, hope it works!! So far I've only had to put a new (used) security and locking module in to fix the key fobs not working, new front rotors, pads, and tie-rod ends. Ordered winter tires for the upcoming season. Some random clunks from the pass rear, figure some bushings / shocks aren't too far down the road.

Anyway, love my Jag, and really enjoy all the knowledge this forum has already helped me accumulate!

Welcome to the forum jvwjag,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

It sounds like you've already found your way to the X308 tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

You can also visit the USA Mid West Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/usa-mid-west-il-ia-mi-mn-mo-oh-wi-39/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Welcome to the forum. Bread, cheese and ham are another 3 of the major food groups.
