Help please
2003 s-type 2.5 v6. Been sat a while on tye drive as not used due to furlough. Went to start today but battery dead. Jumped car and ran for 1 hour. Ideling revs seemed high. Switch off as assumed 1 hour running would of recharged battery enough for a restart. Turned engine off and attempted restart. Ignition lights as normal but wouldnt tick over. Stating parking brake fault, DSC unavailable and engine faults. Due to have an OBD read tomorrow but can anyone shed any light? Car has a clean MOT and used to be run daily prior to march.

What is the battery voltage across the terminals with the ignition in the OFF position when read with a voltmeter? The vehicle requires a minimum of 12.6 volts for all systems to function normally.
If the voltmeter shows less than 12.6 volts, charge the battery for six hours at 2 to 5 amps, then retest. If voltmeter still indicates less than 12.6 volts, the battery is suspect and should be replaced. Many of the electrical 'gremlins' chased across these forums are the result of a failing or weak battery.

Welcome to the forums Raver83v2,
Before looking for more complicated (and expensive) possible causes, I'd have the battery recharged/tested. If the car has been standing since the start of lockdown the battery is likely to be beyond recovery.
Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ed-v8-x200-15/ to the S-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.
Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
Enjoy the forums.
