Default Help with Vehicle purchase!!!

Hello to all! I am in the market for a 17-18 f-type R and am looking into a deal already. Theres one downside however, the care hasnt been serviced only once....that too at 28K miles. It was a corporate vehicle and single owner. Nothing is wrong with the car, other than the very shady fact i mentioned. What are your guys thoughts on it? The car has 28K miles and is NOT CPO from jaguar. Theres nothing i want to change on the car, but am a bit hesitant. I need your guys' help!!!

Also, if if any of you can share your experiences with an (17-18) f type R that would be a huge plus!

Welcome to the Forums.

NO idea on the F Type service requirements.

The members in the F Type Tech Section will know.

"If in doubt, walk away", has always worked well for me.

Good luck.

Welcome to the forums Cmax235,

With that provenance (or lack of it), the vehicle will most definitely NOT be CPO! It wouldn't put me off investigating it but lack of servicing points to lack of care so it needs a very thorough inspection. If you don't know Jaguars, pay for an engineer's report. It could cost a few hundred dollars but will point to whether you've found a real bargain or a potential money pit. I echo Grant's advice "if in doubt, walk away". A powertrain or electronics issue on a modern Jaguar can cost a huge amount to fix. That's why used prices often look very attractive.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f-type-x152-72/ to the F-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.

Hello,
When I'm dealing on a car, if I have ANY doubts about the quality of care or service, I give it a pass.
But that's just me.
Some people look at this sort of thing as a Challenge.
Sometimes they get what they expect (the Challenge) but sometimes they're pleasantly surprised.
I like to Know what I'm buying.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome.
Don’t know if I’d use the term ‘Shady’. The information was provided.
Hmmm, 3 years and no fluid changes... Not necessarily catastrophic but a detailed inspection would be pertinent. I suspect what drew you to the car is the resulting asking price benefit.
ntb, there is no free ride. The car was discounted for a reason. Only you can decide if the cost benefit is worth the risk.
