Default Hi

Hi,

New member. Had an Xtype 2003. Bits that stayed to car AWD, 3.0. Auto, R Grille, R sides, Leaper, Adri Blue, Sat Nav’, Air-con?

LOVED this car, I drove fast, rocked the music. Bought at 70km, drove well until a idiot car wash destroyed my review mirror, after that, things stopped working. Electrics, headlights, Door Locking, 3 header tanks, radiator (nightmare) mixture of bad garage repairs/lies. Started fixing it myself because I was sick of being conned. I couldn’t drop the radiator but little things got a bit more brave with.

Alfa Romeo Sprint, 4 leaf, 1.6. I LOVED that car as well. Detailed it looked like a Ferrari in red, beautiful. Sadly it rusted.

AUS climate is brutal on cool cars.

Hi! Thanks for reading. Now really wanting another Xtype in UK!

Default Thanks

Hi there,

Thanks for the welcoming all!

Soon hopefully to have a manual 3.0 XType! Spec and sporty version, could be a lot of fun having the 3.0 and shifting the gears.

I’m not a boy racer so spec wheels, everything spec but subtle pipeline project dip” in white. Much rather paint it properly, R type spoiler and racing grille. White could make this car look wow.The 3.0 auto was fun, but the gearbox left you hanging a bit before the power. I’ll never forget first time on the motorway tho. Hehe.

Have a good day and hit us up with some useful links if anyone can. I will definitely start a proper thread.

Thanks and take care,

b

Hello,
I'm really sorry the car wash did so much damage to your Jaguar's electronics., Obviously the delicacy of modern electronics doesn't mix well with modern brutal car washes.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
