Hi all
Hi Ime Pete from Durham England and have been driving my 54 plate X Type 2ltr Sport Diesel for the last four years. Its gun metal grey metallic with my own private plates.I have had a few minor problems ie. rear suspension bushes replaced and front drop link on one side but apart from that its been a goodun and I like it a lot. There are 86000 miles on the clock not bad for a 54 plate.
I have one particular problem which is niggling the hell outa me and that's the rear bottom window seal which has bubbled and looks ugly.
All the rest are perfect with no weathering at all so if anyone knows where I can pick one of these up it would be much appreciated.
So thanks for listening take care.
Pete

Welcome to the forum Pete,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I can see you've already found your way to the X-Type tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
Enjoy the forums.

Hi all thanks again for the continuing welcomes.
With regard to the question of a 54 plate it relates to the year of registration in our registration system. Its a 2004 model registered in the latter 6 months of the year 2004.As an example the registration would read something like AS 54 YUP.Hope that roughly explains it.If it had been registered in the 1st 6 months it would be an 04 plate ie AS 04 YUP.
The following year would be 05 and so on.
Hope this helps.
