Default Hi All, New member in the dog house

Hi All, I've been kinda lurking here for awhile. This has been a great resource with great people.

I've owned a 23k mile '69 Series II E-Type for about 7 years, I almost sold it this year but after doing some maintenance decided to keep it.

Instead, I sold a Cobra replica that I've owned for about 10 years and decided to use the money to buy an XJS Coupe (I've always loved how they looked and the prices seem really decent, but slowly climbing), so last month I found an '89 XJS locally, it was owned by a fanatical Jag expert who passed away a few years ago, his daughter finally decided to part with it and I was in the right place at the right time. I just fell in love with how it drives, its truly unlike any other car I've owned.

So...now I was hooked and I still had some leftover Cobra money. On a whim, while cruising car sites on a business trip, I bought a rougher '93 factory stick convertible (my wife was less than thrilled because it showed up while I was at a tradeshow and we were scaling down by selling the Cobra replica, LOL), then 2 days ago a buddy told me about a '96 XJS 4.0 in an estate sale less than a mile from my house....... They needed to get rid of it, a one owner BRG with low miles but neglected paint, it was literally owned by a little old lady... and It was so incredibly cheap I couldn't pass it up. I figured I'll fix up two to sell, and keep one more permanently... Or keep em all

Now I'm in the dog house and I think I may be mentally ill buying this many in a month. So this is more of a confession than a first post.

Anyway, Hello!!!

-M

Welcome to the forums BitDrive,

Good to have you with us.

It sounds like you've already found your way to the E-Type and XJS model forums so there's no need for links to them from me. The 'HOW TO' threads at the top are a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also use the US Midwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-midwest-39/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
