Default Hi and can anyone help???

Hi,
my name is Pete. ive got a v6 coupe which I bought in may of this year.
lovely car and up until recently its been a dream to own and drive.
recently had a novel issue and im hoping someone can help?
at no particular time, and with no discernible pattern, the stereo decides to crackle, stop playing the track youre listening to (cd, ipod or radio) you loose volume, it disconnects the phone, then it starts the track again from the beginning (cd or ipod) still with no volume, then eventually jumps back to the point in the track where you were and brings the volume back..
ive also had the sat nav jam on me and cancelling the detination and re inputting it doesn't solve the issue, as it just jumps back to the place you were on the map when it jammed...
and last but not least, even if the stereo is not on, there is a static noise coming through the speakers, sometimes even when the ignition is not on..
like I say, there is no pattern to any of this.
its been to the dealers 4 times now and had a stereo software update and an amplifier software update but its still happening so id appreciate anyones input on this.

Welcome to the forum Pete,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I've read several complaints about audio sound quality in the F-Type. Other members with this model will advise if the other problems you're having are a common issue with the model. Follow this link F-Type - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the F-Type forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link UK & Eire - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
