Default hi everyone

Hi everyone. I've got two X-types (2003 3.0 petrol and a 2005 2.0 diesel), and I joined the forum today.

Hello Rdsjag and welcome to the forum. We don't get to see too many of the diesel variations around here. Lots of good info on your cars in the models section!

hi. I bought the 3.0 in 2006 when it was 3 years old. Its really powerful, nice V6 sound but quiet inside, and I love it. Very few problems in nearly 6 years' ownership.

I bought the 2.0 diesel from my son just over a year ago. He'd had it 2 years and wanted to go back to being a golf owner, so I bought it and use it for work every day, and my wife uses the 3.0 for her shorter journey to work (she sold on one of my son's previous golfs that we had bought from him). The 2.0 diesel is not as powerful as the 3.0 petrol (doesn't accelerate so fast) but its fine for the speed limits on the motorway. The only annoying thing is that when he owned it, my son had a new driver's door fitted under insurance following a prang, and it now sounds like the door or window isn't closed properly (wind noise at or above 30mph; splashing noise from wheels when its raining etc). That aside its fine.
