Default Hi fellow Jaguar enthusiats allow me to reintroduce myself....

Hey......Just wanted to introduce myself and rub elbows with a all of you here. I'm a current Lexus owner who is also a member of several other automotive forums. I've decided to join this forum because I'm looking for a second car and hoping to acquire an XF the end of the year. My recently departed cousin owned a black Supercharged '09 for the past few years and figured what better way to tribute him.

Now that my wife and I are relocating from NY at the end of the year we are looking at a second car. We've been back and forth over several makes and models. We've gone from a Range Rover to Audi A6 and everything in between. Now that I've got her approval it looks like its time for a Jag. Among my previous vehicles were an '88 Jag XJ6 which my mom passed along. and a couple of Range Rovers, so I've come to appreciate the British automotive experience for better or worse, lol. This XF seems to be a whole 'nother animal. So hopefully it will be in our garage one day. Thanx for reading my story.

Isa aka LexLaw

Welcome, I don't think you will regret if you go for XF . The way XF looks also has a similarity or kinda mixture of LExus, Volvo ,Aston Martin .

Hey Isa, welcome to the forums, and I must agree...you certainly can't argue with that logic. We should call you 'counselor' in future conversations.

Hi Lexlaw

XFs are very common around here where I live in little England, yet Lexus are not so common. Drive the Flag, eh !

I would think you will enjoy an XF a lot. Most people here have to buy the 3 litre diesel but you can indulge in a 4.2 petrol V8 as your fuel costs so much less in the US.

Hi LexLaw, I'm the former owner of a SC400, LX470 and a GS300... great vehicles all! We might have cross-posted over at Club Lexus once or twice.

Good luck in your car shopping!

Oh most definitely...The XF tails are so Aston and that's what appeals to me so much. And yes, there are definite shades of the Lexus GS, especially the side profile in the XF sheet metal. Even the guys over at the Lexus forum have pointed that out on numerous occasions. BTW they are huge fans of Jaguar XF and all in all appreciate other makes over there unlike many other forums. I look forward to sharing that same experience here with a British twist.

Thanx again guys for all the warm welcomes as I look forward to a positive experience here.

@Shady, I'm sure we def crossed paths over at ClubLex. I'm and SC430 owner but I'm all over CarChat and other model forums.
