Default Hi Folks!

Hello, new to the forums from the Atlanta area.
My old friend has recently bought a 2001 XKR and I wanted to read about it (I think he's living the dream)
Pretty impressive car. I have not ever owned a Jaguar, or a British motorcar, but, all of my experiences have been good,
I have fond memories of tooling around with a friend in his Austin Healy Sprite MK III,
and helping, at least once, lift the plant out for bench work.

I have worked on many cars over the years. Lots of GM, Ford, Toyota, Honda, and several brands of European cars -
lots of Mercedes, BMW, several Porsches, a number of air-cooled VW's. I have never done any work on a Jaguar -
I suppose they must just be very reliable! I may have to get into a Jaguar

My current garage has a 2007 N54/E90 I'm maintaining with all of the usual, and hoping to add a bit of tune.
Also have an E38/740i that needs some assistance right now

Hello,
Reliability of a Jaguar is the same as any other car to come out of the factory.
It all hinges on the care the owner takes of it. If not properly cared for, it soon becomes a piece of junk. If it is properly cared for, it will last Decades!

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
