Hi folks:
My wife and I purchased our 2002 XK8 convertible (a beautiful Zircon metallic blue with dark blue top) about 3 months ago. Show room shape with only 32K miles (35K now). Just had its first visit to the local Jag specialist for new front brakes and to replace the hydraulic line to the convertible top latch (ouch!). Always lusted after the E-types when I was little -- the XK8 scratches that itch with a lot of the style and (somewhat) more practicality. This Forum is great, and helped me out when I was searching for our car!

Welcome to the forum,
Congratulations on the XK8 convertible.
Follow Norri's link to the XK8 section for help and advice. Even if you don't want to wield the wrenches yourself, the information there can still save you plenty of $$'s.
Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Thanks Jim and everyone. I did review the hydraulic line issue on the Forum before committing to the replacement, and it turned out that the old line had been "patched" previously and had split just above the patch.
I've added a picture to my profile, am not sure if that is the correct way for it to show up when I post?
Thanks, Doug
