Default Hi from Leeds UK

Hi All,
I have just joined the forum so please bear with me if I dont get it right first time.
I have a 2003 XK8 4.2 Convertible in Jag Racing Green with a green hood and coffee interior.
I have also swapped my 2.7D S-type for a 2006 X-type 3.0l Sovereign. Well at least this goes in the snow unlike the s-Type.
Stand by for the questions guys and keep the good info coming.

Cheers Duncan (AKA l12dcp)

Welcome Duncan and greetings from across the pond. Great site with lots of know how. I'm surprised at how much I've learned in such a short time. great resource when you need a specific question answered.

Welcome to the forum Duncan,

Have fun with the car, you should have enough snow to test the X.

Default Thanks from Leeds

Dear Jim and all,
Thanks for the warm welcome and access to the forum.
Before I waste everyone's time I will see if I can find the answers to my questions on the forum.
I have already tried the AWD system in Nottinhamshire when I collected the X Type. Very impressed and as you say much better than the S Type. Dont get me wrong the S Type was a superb car and was my third having had a 4.0l and 3.0l previously. it was very quiet and had torque in bucket fulls. However, in order to preserve the XK over the winter I bought a cheap (dare I say?) Vol.. which does the business. So my wife was driving the S Type which she didn't find comfortable as the seats are quite large and there was no lumber support on my model. Anyway the X Type has all the right bits, comfy seats, heated with memory, quickclear screen, front and rear park assist etc. All you would expect from the Sovereign model. So everyone is happy.
Thanks Duncan
