Hi, my first Jag
Hi,
Just bought a V8 S-type 1999, converted to LPG and only a genuine 75k on the clock. I'm located Derby UK. I love it, but have a few issues to sort. It has a misfire once warmed up. Previous owner tells me the coil packs and plugs have all been changed a year ago.
I've noticed bank one has different coils to bank two, so replaced at different times.
Bank one coils look older, and no1 isn't firing as the spark plug hasn't been used.
I've just put new Bosch plugs in and gapped them to 1.2mm, but now realised the Bosch plugs require only 0.9mm as supplied, less for LPG.
Coil on no1 cylinder has secondary resistance half of the others so a coil is needed. Also bought a u480 code reader but it says there are no fault codes, which I don't believe.
So I'll soldier on and get it fixed and hopefully enjoy Jag motoring.
