Talking Hi, my name is Ted,and I'm a recurring Jag-aholic....

Hey folks, I'm new to this forum, but I was pretty active for several years on the Jag-Lovers website as TheJaggedTed while I owned a gorgeous 1995 XJR.....

Anyway, I've found myself back in the UK and travelling inside Europe a bit, and searching for my next Jag, which'll be an XKR, maybe 2004-5 if I can find one for good price...

Wish me luck with that, and I hope I can get to meet some of you at various events.... I'll be guy with the big permanent grin.

I'm still Google mapping my ideal XKR Road trip for the summer...

See you around!!!

Ted

Good luck with your hunt! Something to consider is that prices for the vehicles you are looking for are typically much better here across the pond. Moreover, vehicles from California in particular are generally in very good shape due to the pleasant weather year round.

Absolutely agree, and I would have brought one over myself, but you have to add on:
Transport costs (several $k)
Tax 10%
Supertax for Enginesize: 13.6%
vat 22%

So the total isn't as nice any more...

And on a nice XKR (Europe looks at book value, not sale price) that would severely curtail beer intake for several years...

So I'm looking here, I think.... just have to stay away from the dodgy ones...
