Welcome to the forum Stuart,

Good to have you with us.
You have my sympathies! You seem to have found he tech sections already so no need for links.
Have you had a chance to take a look in the regional section? https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-68/
Enjoy the forum.

If you haven't already done so you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

Welcome to the forum Stuart,

Those four will keep you fully occupied! Let's see some pics of the 240 project.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forum.

Ahh, that worked! Kept getting messages about having to wait three days.

OK, XJ6 is mine, ex-Hampshire Constabulary traffic car, pictured back at Farnborough Police Station for the retirement of one of its drivers a year or so back. Second one many of you will recognise, but my car is TRF 319G - the one Model Icons have just made a model of. No current pic as it's currently waiting at the garage for info on the auto choke - see other posting!

Both used for shows and events.....

Stuart,

Both still fully equipped like that? Tremendous.

To post pics full size like this, right click on the thumbnail image then copy and paste.

Hi Graham

The XJ6 is fully liveried - got the lightbar sent from the States when I was restoring her. She was one of 16 Jaguars - 15 white, one dark green (Chief Constable's) used by Hampshire - but they had significant trouble with them I'm afraid and reverted to BMW's and the like afterwards. I know my own car had three geraboxes while in service and several engine rebuilds....

Photo of a sister car in the mid 1980's - it's likely my one (A431) is in the garage behind - you can just make out the side of one in the darkness of the garage. Farnborough only had two allocated, so it's likely to be mine.

And the 240/340? Well it's just back on the road - might be some pics of her pretty soon, but, yes, she will be fully liveried as well - again going to shows and the like. The roof sign (which is huge, and gives it the aerodynamics of the average breeze block) will travel in the rear of the car until we get to the event - when it will be reattached!

Stuart,

Looks great.

All the equipment must add considerably to the Gross Vehicle Weight to say nothing of the increased drag.

Graham
