Hi from Norway
Hi everyone.
I am new to this forum, and also new to Jaguar. Just sold my last car (a 2012 Touareg 3.0TDI), and I am looking to replace it with something totally different. Wify and I also have an "everyday use" car (a Ford Fusion+).
Since wify has been kind enough to allow me to buy a car with just two seats and limited "practicallity", an F-type is on top of my list and this forum seems to be a very good place to get some advice during the pre ordering process (what kind of options is a "must have", any problems to be aware of etc).
Car taxes are very high in Norway (they tax both CO-Levels and BHP), so the R is most probabely out of the question as it will be too expencive for me. The model that seems to "fit the bill" is the S Coupe, but I am very uncertain regarding awd or rwd.
The car will never be used during the winter (except the few occations during the winter when the roads are clean and dry), so I will not buy any winter wheels for it.
Looking forward to get to know more about this forum and the members here, and about the F-type and what you can tell me about it.
ps: English is not my native language, so please excuse me for any and all the typos I most certainly will make

Welcome to the forum Arne,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I had heard that car taxes in Norway are horrendous and can understand why the R is off the list.
Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f-type-72/ to the F-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
You can also visit the Europe Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/europe-42/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.

Welcome to the Forum. I too have a Touareg (gasoline, V-8) and purchased an F-Type V8S.
I can't offer any advice on the V6 except to say the F-Type is a beautiful car regardless of which engine it has. Be prepared to talk to many admirers everywhere you may travel. The car receives much kind attention.
Cheers,
Brad
