Default Hi from San Diego NEW TO FORUM have a 2010 XF SUPERCHARGED V8 - but also PROBLEMS!

Hi everyone, NICE TO MEET EVERYONE HERE!

Again I own a DARK RED 2010 XF SUPERCHARGED 61,090 miles on...
Beast of a car but there are issues.
Issues I want to fix by asking the masters HERE! I want to be active here until the car is fixed of all its issues. And by then I can help someone with the same issues later. THATS THE GOAL right guys!?
FIRST EMERGENCY.
CAN'T find the spare key and the one we have stopped working. It works when its inside its port, the computer senses it, but if you walk next to the car and open the doors b4 putting it inside, the whole ALARM GOES OFF. I have to quickly put it inside the port and then it stops.
SO I know it has a new battery, the computer still gives me the ORANGE LOW BATTERY WARNING on the screen, non-stop -even after battery swap. I have been the ONLY owner of this car, so all of this is just jaguar and driving on 20-inch jag rims when I didn't even want them. I wanted 18s... but anyway, the shaking of the car probably broke tiny parts of the car from BUMPS, then anything else.
Anyway, so PROXIMITY SENSOR or Bluetooth whatever the KEY has on it, is not working. What can I do to fix this>? ANY IDEAS GUYS?
I know how to fix the key from a dead battery in a second, but this is new. Never did I see an issue where the alarm has to come on because the key can't figure out you are near and ALL THE BUTTONS do not work either. And before the new battery swap, the trunk use to pop open like the key was sending signals to the car computer from no one pressing the KEY. Like crossed something... but how can that be?
PLEASE ANYONE FROM JAGUAR FORUM< plz help. Thanks so much and I know I didn't want to talk about this in this thread but it just happened. Like I had to write these ideas down so I didn't forget... hope you can forgive this only time I post in the wrong area with MORE stuff than I should for it.
I will be perfect next time. THANKS again staff.
sorry for any grammar issues, etc, typing on a spilled keyboard.lol.

Welcome to the forums lvladbeaver,

Good to have you with us.

Early Smartkeys sometimes have a problem bacause the back of the casing doesn't hold the battery in properly. The later C2P17158 casing back was modified to prevent this. If the Smartkey was working before you changed the battery, go back over the procedure and do NOT press any buttons during the replacement.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xf-xfr-x250-44/ to the X250 forum for help, advice and information. You can also use the US Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-western-38/ to find other members in your region.

I've added vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. If you want to change these, go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

In addition to Norri's suggestion, check the main battery voltage across the terminals with a voltmeter when the ignition is OFF. There should be a minimum of 12.6 volts or random DTCs and instrument cluster warnings are the result.
