Hi from Santee, CA
Hello all!
Just bought my 2003 X-Type Jaguar Green with 86000 miles. What a sweet ride. My first true luxury car and its so quiet and glad I made the plunge.
The dealer I bought it from thoroughly went through it and its super clean. Needs a paint job on the top, but thats to be expected for an older vehicle. Shouldn't be too pricey...hope not lol..

New X-Type owner, welcome. I've had my X-Type for a couple of years now. It's my second from the Jaguar marque. The day I took the keys I knew I had to have the car and I've been happy ever since.
Advice: Maintain the car. Search the forum for the TSBs & recalls for your make & model. My car needed the J004 recall. X-types cannot be registered in CA w/o the ECM and TCM software update from recall J004. Also, check the inner edge of all four tires for excessive wear. If the tires are brand new on your X-type with 86K that may or may not indicate a suspension problem (unless you have documented repair records). I changed all four tires and all four tires had excessive inner wear. You will find out more on this and other maintenance issues here (Jag-Forums) for your new X-Type.
Happy motoring!
