Default Hi there! '05 XKR project car

Hi there,
Thanks to the moderators and hosts - this is a very impressive resource for Jaguar handlers. I've previously owned an '84 XJ12 and recently got an 05 XKR, which has been fun but is starting to unravel. I bought it with the intention to do the AVOS upgrade (thanks to AVOS) for pioneering this mod, and to others who have also done the twin screw mod. It's seems 05 and 06 end of the run XKRs are 'under-represented', maybe because there were fewer made, or maybe because they're a bit newer and problems haven't materialized yet. Mine was someone's daily driver, and with 120k miles, I am starting to find, fix, and now I'm on this site, to share my findings with you. ...currently stranded in Tyson's Corner VA, chasing a fuel to engine issue. Thanks again to all who share their stories here
-Ian :-)

Welcome to Jaguar Forums JAGW1RE,

Good to have you with us.
You have found the tech section already so I just need to give you a link to your regional area Mid Atlantic - MD VA DC DE WV - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
The majority of fuel issues turn out to be the pump, so it might pay to check that first.
Enjoy the forum.

If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

Welcome to the forum Ian,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you have already found your way to the XK8/XKR tech section so there's no need or a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

I hope you soon find the cause and fix for the fuel issue.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
