Hello to everyone,

My name is Niels I reside in Vancouver Canada where it is sunny and warm today, not bad for mid October around here. I wish now I had kept my bikes insured a little longer, today would have been a great day for a ride.
I am the new owner of a 2000 XJS with a little over 100000km's on it. I bought it at a good price expecting it to need some repairs but it has surprised me with needing very few.
I'm hoping to read and learn what I can about this little Jag of mine but also about Jaguars in general. I have always tried to be the "dumb" guy at the "smart" table and found it teaches me quite a bit.
I am definitely new to this forum but also new to forums in general. Please forgive my inexperience.
My background is in transmission repair and rebuilding both manual and automatic, transfer cases and differentials as well. I've been in this trade for about 30 years.(making me feel old)
I don't live at my computer but I do check it regularly. I will be glad to answer any trans related questions if I can.

Yes it was a typo. It's actually a 2000 XJ8.
