Default Hi - yoiyoi

I'm a future owner too, so I considered no need to open a new topic on this.

So, my "83 Porsche 924 has to go for second restoration, was wondering is there any way you could advise me buying a december built 2001 Jaguar S-Type v6 3.0 with a $1800 worth LPG gas installment and 90.000 miles on it, 5-automatic, no NAVi for $5000?
Is it a good year, long lasting to a classical Jaguar car? Is it worth collecting?
Or using as a daily, maybe?
From what I hear models built to 2003 are the best choices. Is it true? A good opinion is any opinion!

How is it to live with day-to-day?

The Porsche was incredibly reliable, even when not carefully taken care of, electrics mostly, galvanised body so no rust. Those were the 80's..

Will I be able to drive my 2001 S-Type in 30 years like I do my Porsche? What do you reckon? Help much appreciated! Thank you!

Default s-type

Thanks guys for your wonderful welcome.
Feeling as comfy
As inside a jag.

Me buying the car makes most of my friends scared I'm gonna get a lemon.
I always reply: it always depends on how much you're spending from the start.

Considering $5000 it's close to steep for a 14yr old car, but for a s-type? 90000miles in Italy would do much harm for the car? What's the weakest point of a 3ltr 2001?
