First--I fully admit I'm not a gearhead However, we did just recently acquired a 2002 XK8 4.0 with only 88k miles on it that, at least cosmetically, is in great shape. My son has recently become a car enthusiast, so we agreed to purchase this one and learn together... wish me luck!

Second--We've already identified a number of fixes required, but nothing that (1) prevents enjoying driving this beautiful car and (2) we hopefully can't find answers already posted here--so I'll mostly be reading and not posting until I get frustrated...

Thanks for pointing out the must-read section, all seems prudent and fair.

Best regards,
Jason

Hello, Jason,
Congratulations on your new Jaguar Xk8! I decided that would be my Next Jaguar.
88k miles is just now well broken in and loosened up. In it's Prime, as it were.
You and son will have Loads of fun with this one.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
