I just signed up and am looking forward to participating. I signed up because I'm car shopping at the moment and looking in the $80k - $150k range. The new F-Type R AWD is a potential (though I'm not sure I'm ready to sign up for the first year of a new AWD solution... will probably wait for 2017 if it's the right car.)
I tend not to purchase cars very often. My current ride is a 2000 BMW M-Coupe (the one that almost no one purchased and bears a slight resemblance to that modified XKE in Harold and Maude) that I bought new (Those of us in the states got the 240hp motor rather than the 330hp they released in Europe. Plusses and minuses with that. The plus is that the 240hp engine seems to be indestructible and runs pretty much forever.) and a 98 Honda Accord that I did not buy new. I also tend to like cheap cars. You don't have to insure them for collision and comprehensive if you can just afford to replace them. Taxes are low. And really, a 98 Honda does a pretty good job of getting you around in relative comfort.
But I like to drive fast, I occasionally like to do a HPDE, and the BMW is just getting a little long in the tooth -- and candidly a little slow. Even Hyundai and Subaru are putting 300hp motors in cars these days. Plus, the BMW's always been squirrelly close to the limits.
I like that Jaguar took this car to AWD. I know there's a school of thought that says: "People should want a car that takes skill to drive fast." As someone who owns such a car, my take on that is: screw that. I'm not a professional race car driver and don't aspire to be one. As the HP steps up to more dangerous levels, I want a car that's working to get me around the corner and actively managed AWD seems to be a key component in the modern sports car. (Personal opinion is that we can thank Nissan for that. The current GT-R, first released in 2008, established a model that much of the industry is moving to.)
I'm following this car, the new NSX, the GT-R, and various porsches (the porsches are pricey for the performance and reliability they deliver) as a part of figuring out what to buy. The corvette, AMG GT, and various other nice-but-not-for-me offerings are out as I'm not interested in a very high HP rear wheel drive car.

Jaguar has made iconic cars. Sexy cars. The f-type makes it clear that this tradition continues. Maybe I will end up owning one.
