I just bought a 2001 S-Type.

I think I have lost my mind.
Six years ago I bought a 2003 X-Type 3.0. No one could ever get the front end properly aligned, and the transmission blew out costing me 3 grand, and I traded it in 3 years ago on a 2004 Grand Marquis and swore never again on Jaguars.
Then I made the mistake of stopping on a used car lot to check out a black 2001 S-Type with a 4.0 V8.
I crashed the Mercury in December and was driving a beater of a 1996 T-Bird I picked up cheap, and in a moment of weakness, I bought the S-Type.
Yeah, I know this isn't one of Jaguar's better models. I still need to figure out why the radio doesn't work, and find out why I have a warning light that says "Traction Control Fault." (Plus, the little traction control light that looks like a snail stays lit, as does the ABS light).
However, with 119,000 miles on her, she runs great, the engine is super smooth, and she corners like she's on rails. I'm pretty good at fixing things myself, so getting under the car and getting dirty isn't a problem. I'm hoping I can stay ahead of the major stuff, and keep the car alive for another 100,000 miles.
In the meantime, it's hard to stay at work and not run out, hop in my black cat, and go find the twistiest road I can!
I may hate myself by the time I get this cat paid off, but right now I'm in love.
