I love my XJ!
Hi Everyone
Anyone else working with a Series I XJ?
I'm still working on my 1973 XJ Series I. I have had her for about 8 years now and have been having a lot of fun tweaking and modding.
I need a good source for parts for this body. A few years ago, I could not find Series I fuel tanks so I bought Series II tanks and then swapped over the fittings. Stuff like that I can do but right now I am looking for front & rear window gaskets. I cannot make those myself! : )
Hoping to get an XK convertible when I'm old.

No, it doesn't, it means you have equisite taste.
I truly love the look of this car, and have test driven a beautiful sand beige example in Florida where we often winter. If it had not had some mechanical issues the lemon - orchard dealership would not rectify on my acquisition, I would have gotten it. Most assuredly the price was unbelievably low, as this occurred about 2 years ago as the recession was hitting Florida hard.
Have you had any electrical issues yet at all, and where would you source a reliable fix from if you had them ? a Trusted dealer or an Independent repair shop ?
Thanks !

For a Series 1 XJ, may I suggest you also look at our UK suppliers, most of whom ship internationally. Here's one with your screen seals -
