Default i'm a new guy and owe an apology

So, i'm one of "those" guys. a month ago I purchased a 98 xk8 with the intent of slapping an aston martin body kit on it. I decided to get 1000 miles on this car to find any bugs that need working out before the build. Now after that thousand miles and a month of eyeing her sitting in the garage, I find myself unable to put this beauty under the knife.

I've been a Beemer and Benz fanatic for years and hating on the Jag. I now humbly eat all of my ill spoken Jag words...This is a fabulous and beautiful car even at the ripe age of 15 years and 105,000 miles on her clock! I eat my words and beg your forgiveness...and now ask for advice

The car does need abit more attitude for my taste. I would love any advice on exhaust work (think Maserati), any experience in tire sizing in the 20" range, and any performance mods that won't blow up a cat with 105,000 on the clock...chips? super charger? and most importantly any things I should pay special attention to at this mileage.

i'm sorry guys and look forward to seeing you all on a winding back road with the tops down.

Welcome! When you get to the XK8/XKR forum, look up a guy named Phil. He is our leading authority on "Outside the Box" for these cars. It's ok to be different, just keep it tasteful. After all, it's still a Jag!
